Sio House is a classic Japanese wooden building and was formerly used by the Japanese to store, inspect and sell salt. Much of the history of the Anping district of Tainan can be found at the Dutch built, 17th century, Fort Zeelandia (Anping Fort) and the surrounding streets in Anping Old Street. While wandering the area, be sure to try a few of the region』s famously delicious local delicacies on offer throughout the small streets and narrow alleyways intersecting between preserved buildings and historical residences.
